Case Construction equipment makes the most well known backhoes in the industry and they have been building construction equipment for more than 150 years.  To put that in perspective, that dates back to 3 years before the civil war started (1958).  John Deere might be a bigger name among the layman, but nothing is bigger than Case Backhoes.  As evidence, the term case backhoe is searched for 114 times a day, while the term John Deere Backhoe is only searched for 50 times a day.  This is probably because John Deere is more well known for their tractors than for their backhoes.  Case, on the other hand, specializes in Loaders / Backhoes, but they make many more products including Forklifts, Excavators (Compact and Tracked), Skid Steer Loaders, and Articulated Trucks.  Case merged with New Holland in 1999, but both names are still in use.   You can visit their website at http://www.casece.com
